I sell my prints through Fine Art America. The visual arts have always been important to me. My earlier works were chiefly black and white ink printing or graphite, and often incorporating abstract concepts. Retirement from library work in early 2020 provided me an opportunity to explore a new chapter in creating art with a meditative, playful, and colorful approach, after discovering professional lightfast colored pencil. I listen to the art, to hear what it wants me to do next. I also enjoy doing some black and white work using charcoal. Recently I have begun experimenting with pastel and am creating my first artworks in this new medium. Most of my techniques are self-taught with a high degree of experimenting, combined with observing other artists' techniques.
